Big Mid-League Changes!

This week GGG made some huge changes to Path of Exile 2's 0.3.0 (The Third Edict) endgame. Mapping has turned much more into PoE 1's setup, but with a lot of Path 2 retained. What could be coming out in 0.4 if GGG is willing to bring this out mid-league! Hopefully you enjoy the upcoming changes to the beta, and more importantly, we hope you're having a great week. Thanks, so much, for all the time you give to listen to us each and every week. Love ya!

00:01.921 --> 00:03.721
[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome to forever excelled.
00:04.042 --> 00:06.182
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Justin aka tags.
00:06.722 --> 00:10.523
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Tyler record of days and I swear I didn't you just wait it.
00:11.143 --> 00:11.784
[SPEAKER_00]: That's a joke.
00:11.884 --> 00:12.564
[SPEAKER_00]: That's a joke.
00:12.644 --> 00:21.066
[SPEAKER_00]: I did so we're starting and we do our normal like routine for how we start a podcast And then just like oh, I know I said let me check something and please check and stuff.
00:21.246 --> 00:24.327
[SPEAKER_00]: I doubt it because the second I'm like okay, he's checking.
00:24.427 --> 00:24.967
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, he's checking.
00:24.987 --> 00:25.187
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
00:25.207 --> 00:26.648
[SPEAKER_00]: It's gonna take a couple of few more seconds.
00:26.688 --> 00:27.668
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna get a drink of water.
00:27.808 --> 00:27.988
[SPEAKER_00]: You know
00:28.548 --> 00:30.389
[SPEAKER_00]: be all like totally prepped.
00:31.110 --> 00:38.375
[SPEAKER_00]: And as soon as I'm like at that stage of drinking, where it's the point of no return, I have to finish.
00:38.415 --> 00:39.256
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't interrupt it.
00:39.757 --> 00:41.077
[SPEAKER_00]: That's when he does the intro.
00:41.098 --> 00:43.379
[SPEAKER_00]: So I swear, he doesn't even know how to do it.
00:43.399 --> 00:46.281
[SPEAKER_02]: When I started, I was on the audition at the time.
00:46.361 --> 00:56.569
[SPEAKER_02]: So hey, I would have had it up if stupid discord would let me hit the button that stays on top and haven't worked, but it doesn't suit their your problems with your GBs and
00:57.850 --> 00:59.012
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you know what, I just don't care.
00:59.352 --> 01:01.115
[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, welcome to episode 312.
01:01.696 --> 01:03.458
[SPEAKER_02]: For every exhale here, we are patrons.
01:03.478 --> 01:04.940
[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you everybody who resubbed up this week.
01:04.980 --> 01:10.147
[SPEAKER_02]: Patreon is access to afterdarks or podcasts after the podcast where we just keep talking about stuff and things.
01:10.848 --> 01:12.611
[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, appreciate your support.
01:12.651 --> 01:13.292
[SPEAKER_02]: We love your faces.
01:14.313 --> 01:14.694
[SPEAKER_02]: How's your week?
01:15.354 --> 01:15.615
[SPEAKER_02]: Friend?
01:15.955 --> 01:16.836
[SPEAKER_00]: I had one.
01:17.036 --> 01:17.597
[SPEAKER_00]: That's for sure.
01:17.917 --> 01:18.518
[SPEAKER_00]: That's always good.
01:19.279 --> 01:20.761
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't remember.
01:21.061 --> 01:24.405
[SPEAKER_00]: We asked this every week and I think I'd be more prepped.
01:24.485 --> 01:29.792
[SPEAKER_00]: I had I had a day had a day yesterday, but uh oh this week was good.
01:30.092 --> 01:30.152
[SPEAKER_00]: Um
01:31.033 --> 01:52.642
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm feeling a lot better after we put our lifelong dog down like, you know, we were pretty emotional for a few days, but um, got over to a lot of that, not over it, but like feeling a lot more stable, totally easy to talk about it and laugh about it and make fun of her, you know, make fun of the dog instead of like, you go and come up with a joke and they're like, oh, like that was only a few days.
01:52.742 --> 01:53.743
[SPEAKER_00]: This week was really nice.
01:54.523 --> 02:00.467
[SPEAKER_00]: to, you know, talk and reminisce, but then also we have two kittens that are just the dumbest but cutest things on the planet.
02:01.088 --> 02:07.732
[SPEAKER_00]: And so it's just been a good week and the weather completely cooled down, which was really nice and, uh, kids are having a good week.
02:07.752 --> 02:10.074
[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I can't think of anything, but it was, it was a really good week.
02:10.114 --> 02:12.396
[SPEAKER_00]: Like yesterday though, yesterday was a day.
02:12.756 --> 02:13.677
[SPEAKER_00]: So, yes, tell me.
02:14.297 --> 02:16.901
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just doing my regular chores, right?
02:17.422 --> 02:20.266
[SPEAKER_00]: And I realized the grass feels different.
02:20.726 --> 02:23.330
[SPEAKER_00]: Like we're used to now our 30 degree summers.
02:24.011 --> 02:26.374
[SPEAKER_00]: So grass is typically dormant now, right?
02:26.414 --> 02:30.340
[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's just a lot of grasses are going to be brown and life goes on.
02:30.740 --> 02:40.732
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, my grass looks and feels different and so I like I just bend down and I like just take a handful of the dormant grass and just lift up like the whole like pad just lifts right.
02:40.792 --> 02:44.417
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like oh, I thought it was dead where you were seeing the dead spots as far as happening.
02:44.869 --> 02:47.571
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's right, because normally it's like, oh, what it, what can I do?
02:47.591 --> 02:48.351
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, my grass.
02:48.451 --> 02:49.012
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's not dead.
02:49.032 --> 02:49.572
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just dormant.
02:49.592 --> 02:50.273
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't worry about it.
02:50.453 --> 02:51.293
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's the case.
02:51.594 --> 02:55.476
[SPEAKER_00]: For some reason, this year, a mass of part of my front wall, I'm just decided to die.
02:55.496 --> 03:00.219
[SPEAKER_00]: And so the good dorm, I have no idea why or how, but it's done.
03:00.480 --> 03:02.021
[SPEAKER_00]: So, thank you.
03:02.121 --> 03:03.041
[SPEAKER_00]: You let me your.
03:04.342 --> 03:06.365
[SPEAKER_00]: E grass scraper.
03:06.385 --> 03:06.925
[SPEAKER_00]: What do we call it?
03:06.945 --> 03:07.506
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, thank you.
03:07.907 --> 03:09.749
[SPEAKER_00]: Defatcher grass scraper such a good one.
03:09.769 --> 03:10.309
[SPEAKER_00]: Grass scraper.
03:10.349 --> 03:10.630
[SPEAKER_00]: That's a way.
03:10.710 --> 03:12.512
[SPEAKER_00]: And it worked fantastic.
03:12.572 --> 03:17.518
[SPEAKER_00]: But like I basically have only lawn where shady.
03:17.738 --> 03:20.381
[SPEAKER_00]: Like under the magnolia tree and close to the side of the house.
03:20.401 --> 03:20.882
[SPEAKER_00]: So we're shady.
03:21.302 --> 03:22.364
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I did it on the deepest one.
03:22.904 --> 03:28.526
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, which is a centimeter, right, but then and I only did one pass.
03:28.566 --> 03:32.928
[SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't going to do two passes because I didn't want to like put it directly in the dirt.
03:32.988 --> 03:39.910
[SPEAKER_00]: I just wanted it above, but there was so little left there was just small little splotches probably dead, but still with a thick root.
03:40.491 --> 03:43.052
[SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, I did that, but it's almost all gone and
03:44.052 --> 03:53.987
[SPEAKER_00]: I knew that would kill me for the day, like medically, like I can't just do spontaneous work for me that's heavy work with medical limitations that I have.
03:56.301 --> 03:58.763
[SPEAKER_00]: And then I, how was it?
03:58.843 --> 04:05.309
[SPEAKER_00]: The reason that I chose to do it the day that I discovered is because this coming week is absolutely perfect for reseeding lawns.
04:05.610 --> 04:08.272
[SPEAKER_00]: Like if you're gonna oversee it or prep it from winter to winter.
04:08.292 --> 04:08.452
[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
04:08.673 --> 04:17.561
[SPEAKER_00]: This coming week and a half is phenomenal for it and you'll almost never need to water your lawn, which is, I mean, that's where the majority of the work comes outside of the first day.
04:17.581 --> 04:19.443
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, oh man, like that's,
04:19.803 --> 04:34.928
[SPEAKER_00]: I kind of want to do that anyway, just because it looked like crap, but now it's like, if I don't, the lawn's going to be such a pain in the butt in the springtime, because of how this snow will just soak in the soil and make it muddy, and I'm like, oh man, this sucks.
04:34.948 --> 04:38.889
[SPEAKER_00]: So I kind of felt, and then, I mean, in the fall, you're not fighting weeds in the springtime.
04:38.929 --> 04:39.850
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what you're doing.
04:40.490 --> 04:42.231
[SPEAKER_00]: And the weeds have everywhere to grow in my front lawn.
04:42.271 --> 04:42.351
[SPEAKER_00]: Now,
04:43.611 --> 04:45.692
[SPEAKER_00]: Like the front, or the back, this is the front, doesn't it?
04:46.052 --> 04:46.673
[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's faux.
04:46.853 --> 04:49.474
[SPEAKER_00]: The backs like all shades, so it's always going to be fine.
04:50.195 --> 04:54.057
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, man, I've got a, like, I don't, I'm not ready for this.
04:54.117 --> 05:00.361
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I need a few days to prepare for the, like, the big laborist stuff that I need to do, and then I have to plan the next few days after to be not so.
05:01.341 --> 05:02.622
[SPEAKER_00]: Labor, is it laborious?
05:02.642 --> 05:03.443
[SPEAKER_00]: That sounds so good.
05:03.983 --> 05:05.004
[SPEAKER_00]: Is it laborious?
05:05.424 --> 05:07.226
[SPEAKER_00]: Sounds like I'm making it up, but also fancy.
05:07.846 --> 05:10.388
[SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, so then I'm like, all right, fine.
05:10.428 --> 05:13.551
[SPEAKER_00]: So I ask you and you're very kind, you're willing to accommodate right away.
05:13.591 --> 05:15.672
[SPEAKER_00]: And so I pick it up, come home.
05:16.193 --> 05:25.981
[SPEAKER_00]: And but I pick it up from your place with a loner car from the mechanic shop, because our car was getting fixed again for something that's been driving me nuts for forever.
05:26.741 --> 05:28.724
[SPEAKER_00]: and I can't get the stupid hatch to open.
05:29.224 --> 05:31.647
[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing that I can do can open the hatch.
05:31.767 --> 05:33.529
[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing, absolutely nothing can open the hatch.
05:33.569 --> 05:36.292
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like a cursi car, where it's like, it's a matrix.
05:36.352 --> 05:38.614
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like one of the tall short cars.
05:38.654 --> 05:41.498
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm like, oh, it's perfect for this de-thatcher.
05:41.938 --> 05:43.360
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, oh, so I had to put in the front seat.
05:43.882 --> 05:45.523
[SPEAKER_00]: to wiggle it in in my front seat.
05:45.543 --> 05:48.905
[SPEAKER_00]: And now it's like way, it's like way extra work for me.
05:49.306 --> 05:52.368
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm already like going to be low on it on energy level.
05:52.388 --> 05:54.810
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm like, man, I can't show this can handle this.
05:54.850 --> 05:58.132
[SPEAKER_00]: My knees can't, my back can't, my neck can't, my head can't.
05:58.832 --> 05:59.413
[SPEAKER_00]: And my energy.
05:59.693 --> 06:01.874
[SPEAKER_00]: And so anyway, I go and I take it back and I do the work.
06:02.795 --> 06:20.020
[SPEAKER_00]: And then we're waiting for the card to come back, right, for the mechanics to call us and it's getting near the end of the day that kids are coming home, but it's newspaper day and my son had a horrible nightmare that seems so real and he was sobbing about it where they got kidnapped while they were doing newspapers and they just started doing newspapers on their own, right?
06:20.600 --> 06:26.765
[SPEAKER_00]: So, that's one of those things where you just, you tag along for like this week or next week until we feel better about it.
06:26.825 --> 06:34.610
[SPEAKER_00]: So like we had to do that, but now I'm spent and I'm beat and it's not safe for me to drive anymore with the restrictions that I have.
06:34.690 --> 06:39.094
[SPEAKER_00]: And so, my wife's the one that's got to do all the driving around that we need to do.
06:39.854 --> 06:46.597
[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm waiting for the important full call of picking up our car, and if I stay at home, I am going to fall asleep like I could barely stay awake.
06:46.657 --> 06:52.040
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm walking with them spending the energy I shouldn't, but it's better than falling asleep and missing the call for to pick up the car.
06:52.560 --> 07:01.905
[SPEAKER_00]: While we're walking, my wife receives a phone call from her parents, my end laws, saying that there are accommodations for staying in our town this week, fell through, or we available.
07:02.505 --> 07:05.087
[SPEAKER_00]: The answer is obviously, yes, they're always welcome, but we're not prepared.
07:05.527 --> 07:07.448
[SPEAKER_00]: So the night walk back home, and now I'm making
07:08.208 --> 07:20.755
[SPEAKER_00]: the room nice and the bathroom nice, but that's still more energy than I couldn't spend before and more, by before I lost, they felt so bad, but like, you know, it just happened on the worst day that it could have happened for me health wise.
07:21.395 --> 07:25.798
[SPEAKER_00]: And then what happened, oh, right, the call never came through for the mechanic shop.
07:25.858 --> 07:33.142
[SPEAKER_00]: I called them like it's probably going to be tomorrow morning, and I'm like no problem, but we were waiting because we didn't want to put the mileage on the matrix so that we wouldn't have to pay for gas.
07:33.782 --> 07:39.504
[SPEAKER_00]: So then all the chores that we were going to do that day, like running around to the book store and doing a few weather things.
07:39.544 --> 07:45.647
[SPEAKER_00]: And then of course a couple extra things we had to add to accommodate my in-laws like making sure we had fresh Lufas and soap and shampoo and stuff.
07:46.267 --> 07:47.188
[SPEAKER_00]: Go up and get all that.
07:47.688 --> 07:48.408
[SPEAKER_00]: We're at Walmart.
07:48.908 --> 07:50.469
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, oh, you can't use the hatch.
07:50.509 --> 07:50.989
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't worry about it.
07:51.009 --> 07:51.850
[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, what are you talking about?
07:53.330 --> 07:54.090
[SPEAKER_00]: Hatch opens up.
07:54.171 --> 07:57.472
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, you wish this takes like a lot of time.
07:57.872 --> 07:58.692
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not muscle.
07:58.853 --> 08:01.014
[SPEAKER_00]: She's like stared at it and it opened.
08:01.254 --> 08:09.918
[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, there's like a button here and I'm like the button didn't work It locked it every time it didn't like unlock it I held it I like double tapped and I single tapped nothing.
08:09.958 --> 08:18.442
[SPEAKER_00]: I could do I went and Spent half an hour trying to find a stupid latch button when I was at your place for the back of the matrix and I'm like All it does is lock it.
08:18.763 --> 08:19.563
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not unlocking.
08:20.263 --> 08:21.244
[SPEAKER_00]: There was nothing I could do.
08:21.284 --> 08:23.265
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm trying all these combos and nothing's unlocking it
08:23.934 --> 08:24.834
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, she did a mock it.
08:25.254 --> 08:30.315
[SPEAKER_00]: So this morning, when I dropped off the Matrix and picked up our car, which is running like a dream again, it's awesome.
08:30.435 --> 08:32.616
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, so, hey, and I told him the story.
08:32.656 --> 08:38.357
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, I'd see either your trunk is broken and only wives can open it up or I'm useless.
08:39.297 --> 08:41.458
[SPEAKER_00]: And I highly doubt it's the second one.
08:41.678 --> 08:42.778
[SPEAKER_00]: So fix your trunk.
08:43.118 --> 08:45.239
[SPEAKER_00]: And we laugh both stuff, so he's off.
08:45.259 --> 08:46.499
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I know, he's there.
08:47.039 --> 08:47.219
[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
08:47.739 --> 08:49.280
[SPEAKER_00]: And so, but that was great.
08:49.300 --> 08:50.660
[SPEAKER_00]: Put that in anyway, we come back and...
08:51.893 --> 08:56.214
[SPEAKER_00]: So it was a day, so now I'm looking, and I wanted to buy dirt for the front lawn, right?
08:56.254 --> 09:01.375
[SPEAKER_00]: Because I know if I lay seed now, trying to seed it, and it is perfect weather, the birds are going to eat.
09:02.615 --> 09:06.356
[SPEAKER_00]: So now, like, do I go out and I spend 60 bucks on dirt just to cover the seed?
09:06.916 --> 09:10.976
[SPEAKER_00]: That's, that's another day of like energy that I do not have.
09:11.016 --> 09:11.817
[SPEAKER_00]: Did you see or it?
09:11.837 --> 09:15.737
[SPEAKER_00]: Dude, it's a level of, it's a level of, it's a level of, it's a level of, it's when I do, no, it's not.
09:15.817 --> 09:17.237
[SPEAKER_00]: But it's going to make me feel way better.
09:17.337 --> 09:19.378
[SPEAKER_00]: I have a nice centimeter here.
09:20.578 --> 09:25.019
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I didn't even look, uh, whatever my father-in-law brought nice.
09:25.799 --> 09:30.080
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, it's an inch and a half of Scotch or Scotch whiskey, whatever blend or single money brought.
09:30.400 --> 09:31.261
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even taste good.
09:32.041 --> 09:33.541
[SPEAKER_00]: It, it, yeah.
09:34.081 --> 09:45.524
[SPEAKER_00]: And I've been running around like crazy this morning doing the grocery shopping because I didn't want to do it yesterday in the courtesy car because I couldn't get the hatch open, which miraculously only works for my wife, but I was gonna have to come along to do the grocery shopping because you already had a big day.
09:46.024 --> 09:46.244
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh-huh.
09:46.825 --> 09:47.585
[SPEAKER_00]: So that was my day.
09:47.605 --> 09:48.505
[SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
09:49.694 --> 09:50.715
[SPEAKER_00]: but it's been fantastic.
09:50.875 --> 09:52.956
[SPEAKER_00]: Pretty much been the whole- First world problems, man.
09:52.996 --> 09:53.957
[SPEAKER_02]: First world problems.
09:53.997 --> 09:54.217
[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
09:54.757 --> 09:55.118
[SPEAKER_02]: That's good.
09:55.378 --> 09:56.238
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm glad you guys are doing well.
09:56.759 --> 09:58.000
[SPEAKER_02]: And you get some family to visit.
09:58.040 --> 09:58.660
[SPEAKER_02]: That's always fun.
09:59.360 --> 09:59.641
[SPEAKER_02]: It is.
09:59.961 --> 10:00.241
[SPEAKER_02]: It is.
10:00.901 --> 10:01.562
[SPEAKER_02]: How about you, man?
10:01.842 --> 10:02.382
[SPEAKER_02]: How was your week?
10:03.503 --> 10:04.784
[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe I had a good week.
10:04.804 --> 10:07.726
[SPEAKER_02]: It was busy with work wise, but it was good.
10:07.766 --> 10:13.370
[SPEAKER_02]: We had had two events the week before, so this was nice to get back to actually doing work work and dealing with work.
10:14.571 --> 10:15.772
[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, but also we do this week.
10:15.872 --> 10:17.874
[SPEAKER_02]: I started walking this week.
10:18.514 --> 10:18.634
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
10:18.714 --> 10:23.959
[SPEAKER_02]: I figured, well, I can't exercise in his frustrates me because I love to work out, but I just can't with my back.
10:23.979 --> 10:25.460
[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't been able to now for over a year.
10:26.361 --> 10:34.548
[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, so I'm like, I need to walk, so I'm going to start walking, so I drive myself to the park nearby and I do laps around the park.
10:34.829 --> 10:37.091
[SPEAKER_02]: And my goal is 10,000 steps.
10:37.151 --> 10:38.872
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm hitting you around 8,000 right now per day.
10:39.953 --> 10:40.534
[SPEAKER_02]: But it's been fun.
10:40.594 --> 10:42.255
[SPEAKER_02]: I've actually really enjoyed it surprisingly.
10:42.295 --> 10:47.939
[SPEAKER_02]: I went the first day by myself, and then I've gone a couple times with Christina.
10:47.999 --> 10:51.762
[SPEAKER_02]: We've gone once with all the kids, which was a massive disaster.
10:51.782 --> 10:52.603
[SPEAKER_02]: It should never do that.
10:53.023 --> 10:55.405
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, I'm walking out of care.
10:55.585 --> 10:56.365
[SPEAKER_02]: What the rest of you do?
10:57.066 --> 10:57.646
[SPEAKER_02]: Don't get lost.
10:58.207 --> 11:01.149
[SPEAKER_02]: Don't to don't walk away with strangers, but I'll see what I'm done.
11:01.649 --> 11:05.072
[SPEAKER_00]: I love that you're what you're driving to somewhere to walk.
11:05.352 --> 11:07.233
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I can't walk to walk
11:09.595 --> 11:13.238
[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't have any choice but to drive there you live in the wrong.
11:13.338 --> 11:26.567
[SPEAKER_02]: I definitely do world for no hills Well, so well, but there's lots of areas around us that are flat, but where I live, I can't I legit can't go left or right without with hitting a hill He's a little legit live on the flats.
11:26.927 --> 11:32.611
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I don't get into the drowned out lake too Yeah, I don't because we're in the Rockies, man
11:33.091 --> 11:36.672
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, like the edge of the valley, but like it's just mountains everywhere.
11:36.912 --> 11:38.513
[SPEAKER_00]: I really want to drive to flat spots.
11:39.153 --> 11:40.673
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, yeah, I guess yeah.
11:41.274 --> 11:51.477
[SPEAKER_00]: I remember once when I went to, um, like, I've been in the lower mainland forever, um, and but I went back to Hamilton to do some stuck-a-work for a while in my younger days, and I'm new there, right?
11:51.497 --> 11:52.377
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I'm, um,
11:52.637 --> 11:56.519
[SPEAKER_00]: been there tons, but it never actually lived there for an period of time.
11:56.559 --> 11:58.080
[SPEAKER_00]: And so I'm like, okay.
11:58.100 --> 11:59.041
[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, where's the mall?
11:59.061 --> 11:59.421
[SPEAKER_00]: Where can I?
11:59.561 --> 12:00.401
[SPEAKER_00]: Where can I get the stuff?
12:00.481 --> 12:02.943
[SPEAKER_00]: It was before like, you know, internet and phone days, right?
12:02.983 --> 12:09.586
[SPEAKER_00]: That was when all the phones were like, you could text, but it was the T9 texting and green and black screens, right?
12:10.147 --> 12:14.129
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm asking where the where the mall is where I can get some stuff for the next six months.
12:14.389 --> 12:15.630
[SPEAKER_00]: And so, oh yeah, it's just up on the hill.
12:16.310 --> 12:17.170
[SPEAKER_00]: Or I know it's up the mountain,
12:20.332 --> 12:30.363
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't see anything, and then it's like the guy literally lowers my head and puts his hand in front of my face in an arrow just so that I can so Seriously, it wasn't even a hill.
12:30.383 --> 12:34.126
[SPEAKER_00]: I could barely see the blip in the horizon.
12:34.187 --> 12:37.450
[SPEAKER_00]: There was nothing like I couldn't even They called it a mountain
12:38.062 --> 12:41.305
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, definitely different in some of the areas that are flatter.
12:41.625 --> 12:43.928
[SPEAKER_02]: There are hills are like Mount Everest.
12:45.069 --> 12:46.050
[SPEAKER_02]: I couldn't live anywhere else.
12:46.090 --> 12:49.072
[SPEAKER_02]: I love mountains around me, but I can't walk on them.
12:49.192 --> 12:51.054
[SPEAKER_02]: So that's why it drives to a flat spot.
12:51.535 --> 12:51.935
[SPEAKER_02]: Good for you.
12:52.416 --> 12:54.417
[SPEAKER_02]: So I've done, yeah, it's been actually great.
12:54.558 --> 12:58.421
[SPEAKER_02]: It's, uh, do you have can you go fast or do you have to go faster?
12:58.461 --> 12:59.222
[SPEAKER_00]: Can you go slow?
12:59.322 --> 13:02.163
[SPEAKER_02]: No, I have no, I have no, I just chill.
13:02.463 --> 13:05.503
[SPEAKER_02]: My whole goal is to walk for about an hour and a half.
13:05.823 --> 13:09.124
[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm, my hope is to get somewhere between 7 and 8,000.
13:09.704 --> 13:11.745
[SPEAKER_02]: I'd like to get up to 10,000 steps in a day.
13:12.285 --> 13:14.425
[SPEAKER_02]: But I stop on my back, sir, sir.
13:14.545 --> 13:18.926
[SPEAKER_02]: So I start, and as soon as my back starts to hurt, I'm like, right, I need to wrap.
13:19.466 --> 13:19.987
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll join you.
13:20.007 --> 13:22.007
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's just worse that it's interrupting.
13:22.027 --> 13:25.708
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's now that I don't walk my kids to school and my dogs did, like, I gotta get my,
13:26.428 --> 13:30.271
[SPEAKER_00]: I've been good exercise in too, so and you could be on your phone the whole time.
13:30.311 --> 13:34.073
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care because I want to use that coin read a book or write my book.
13:34.674 --> 13:35.654
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't do anything.
13:35.734 --> 13:37.356
[SPEAKER_02]: I try to get off my phone.
13:37.376 --> 13:44.380
[SPEAKER_02]: I try to not do any work, not respond to emails, not respond to texts, and it's been great.
13:44.581 --> 13:47.823
[SPEAKER_02]: I just chill and enjoy the walk.
13:48.023 --> 13:49.124
[SPEAKER_02]: I went with just
13:55.588 --> 13:57.549
[SPEAKER_02]: when your all your energy is enlistening.
13:57.990 --> 13:59.231
[SPEAKER_02]: It was awesome though.
14:00.752 --> 14:02.073
[SPEAKER_02]: We walked for an hour and a half.
14:02.673 --> 14:06.075
[SPEAKER_02]: She talked for an hour and 40 minutes.
14:06.135 --> 14:07.677
[SPEAKER_02]: It's in an hour and a half walk.
14:08.197 --> 14:09.478
[SPEAKER_02]: But it's funny.
14:09.498 --> 14:12.720
[SPEAKER_02]: I had moments where I was like, so I'm in, I'm tuned in.
14:12.840 --> 14:14.401
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm listening about grade six.
14:14.421 --> 14:15.562
[SPEAKER_02]: She's in a new school.
14:15.702 --> 14:17.964
[SPEAKER_02]: All her friends, her birthday's coming up with a plan.
14:17.984 --> 14:19.645
[SPEAKER_00]: So she's in middle school now.
14:19.745 --> 14:37.406
[SPEAKER_02]: So she's walking me through everything, talking about the stuff, and there were definitely moments where I, well, I had a, it was really good at the end when we finished up because I was like, man, the, yes, life sometimes sucks, it's busy, you got work stuff, but holy crap, when you just listen and just exist in a kids.
14:38.187 --> 15:07.443
[SPEAKER_02]: mind for a little bit um and it's just so far it was so fun it was so fun to listen to her just like touch each that's did not stop talking but it will say walking in a park with your 10-year-old is not it I get a bit defensive too like there was uh there's somebody there that I just he just rub me the wrong way the way he acted at one point when we were walking towards him he was on a park bench and the way he responded as we were walking towards him he got up
15:08.023 --> 15:17.971
[SPEAKER_02]: move towards a sea smile that me, but it was odd and I just happened to glance back over my shoulder and he had stopped walking right after we'd walked past anyway, he rubbed me the wrong way.
15:18.511 --> 15:24.096
[SPEAKER_02]: So the whole rest of the walk, now I'm staring at him, you know, I was ready.
15:24.216 --> 15:31.641
[SPEAKER_02]: And anytime that we were doing, I was shifting my daughter onto the other side of me and I was walking between the two of us and I was like, I'm listening to my daughter, but I'm like, okay.
15:33.123 --> 15:38.267
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm ready for this guy to just if he looks at us, I'm going to have it out with them.
15:38.727 --> 15:48.516
[SPEAKER_02]: He never did and he so he probably was completely innocent but when we got back I was talking with Christina and she said Caltho how's the walk so I was explaining to her I'm like it's just way different when I'm going with
15:48.976 --> 16:13.495
[SPEAKER_02]: The kids because I'm, you know, nervous and Sophie is like, do you mean like the guy in the blue jacket like she had caught on to what I thought I was doing smoothly and carefully and, you know, not wanting to alarm my daughter about anything she completely caught on to exactly what I was doing so well, it's either you're horrible hiding it maybe you know or he was just bloody obvious and you've strangled your danger to kid pretty well
16:14.032 --> 16:19.294
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know, but yeah, it's so anyway, I've been walking and it's been I've been feeling great about it.
16:19.594 --> 16:22.495
[SPEAKER_02]: It's been a very busy week, but it would for you.
16:22.895 --> 16:23.896
[SPEAKER_00]: I could jump in walk, too.
16:23.976 --> 16:27.497
[SPEAKER_00]: Like my joke about you being horrible about hiding it.
16:27.537 --> 16:30.618
[SPEAKER_00]: That's it joke, but like for you, that's that's exciting.
16:30.978 --> 16:32.539
[SPEAKER_02]: Can we share some something awesome company?
16:33.171 --> 16:43.698
[SPEAKER_02]: So we, and then I've been playing when we watched, um, we finished watching the, uh, the Seth Rogan show, the studio studio.
16:44.299 --> 16:44.779
[SPEAKER_02]: It was me.
16:45.280 --> 16:47.041
[SPEAKER_02]: There were two episodes that we thought were great.
16:47.241 --> 16:50.023
[SPEAKER_02]: But I was like, well, one of these enemies, we should let's check it out.
16:50.403 --> 16:51.184
[SPEAKER_02]: Eh, okay.
16:51.864 --> 16:53.326
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's just not my thing.
16:53.446 --> 16:54.206
[SPEAKER_00]: Nope, I hear you.
16:54.507 --> 17:08.200
[SPEAKER_02]: Like there were two there were two episodes that made me laugh One was when they're trying to diversify and you know not be racially inclined with their cast made me laugh through that whole episode just of you know because it that is very much like for a jar so
17:09.241 --> 17:10.422
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, no, but that's what it feels like.
17:10.443 --> 17:18.931
[SPEAKER_02]: You can feel like that sometimes where you'd be in very careful and for no reason in the end But so I did laugh through a few and then we started watching severance.
17:18.971 --> 17:19.972
[SPEAKER_02]: We're just watching severance.
17:20.033 --> 17:20.953
[SPEAKER_02]: No, we just started out.
17:21.334 --> 17:26.239
[SPEAKER_02]: I've heard good things about that one Yeah, I see old I would like it another I did show for you.
17:26.840 --> 17:28.622
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think it in a safe paper apple
17:30.320 --> 17:34.523
[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, I played, uh, I did have a little bit of time to play.
17:34.543 --> 17:36.505
[SPEAKER_02]: So I played some borderlands.
17:36.625 --> 17:41.368
[SPEAKER_02]: And so these are my only notes for the whole show that I have is at the bottom.
17:41.788 --> 17:45.090
[SPEAKER_02]: Now, this is one thing with borderlands that just makes me laugh man.
17:45.110 --> 17:48.353
[SPEAKER_02]: Like they, I love that they're not, they're not PC.
17:48.413 --> 17:51.595
[SPEAKER_02]: They're not like they don't care if they're making fun of things at all.
17:52.155 --> 17:52.776
[SPEAKER_02]: And it's great.
17:52.916 --> 17:53.636
[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's hilarious.
17:53.676 --> 17:55.698
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I was playing the game and I'm like, what?
17:56.518 --> 18:16.716
[SPEAKER_02]: what keeps making these comments that me like I'm trying to figure out like what is happening in the game and it turns out it's a gun that I have and this gun randomly will be like so when you shield filled up finishes filling sometimes my gun will be like nice shield dork
18:19.127 --> 18:22.389
[SPEAKER_02]: Randomly it'll say you'll never climb the corporate ladder.
18:22.609 --> 18:26.411
[SPEAKER_02]: Just out of nowhere other times it will say I hope you have a heart attack and die.
18:26.432 --> 18:28.893
[SPEAKER_02]: That's what this thing says.
18:28.913 --> 18:30.054
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, brand is the gun.
18:30.074 --> 18:39.139
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a Jacob's gun, but it's a sniper and it's just, and that stuff just makes me feel like I like that.
18:39.159 --> 18:39.699
[SPEAKER_00]: That's funny.
18:39.819 --> 18:41.821
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so it's shield for a sniper, right?
18:42.754 --> 18:46.157
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and it's supposed to not ever be seen or caught.
18:46.478 --> 18:48.540
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, it's so funny.
18:48.620 --> 18:58.509
[SPEAKER_02]: The stuff that and I love that it's reactionary to like what's going on, like when you're reloading, it'll mock you for running at a bullet or need again, or so.
18:58.730 --> 19:02.794
[SPEAKER_00]: I think I think that's hilarious and that's nice that they're still using the same brands from the first game.
19:03.314 --> 19:04.755
[SPEAKER_00]: Jake, how's with the story one?
19:05.376 --> 19:06.797
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's also the same.
19:07.137 --> 19:13.021
[SPEAKER_00]: I want to think that they have those traits, they're certain traits that are specific to each kind of brand too.
19:13.361 --> 19:17.164
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, used to say it's like a tax speed or damage or explosive, so whatever.
19:17.224 --> 19:27.292
[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I don't think they do that anymore, but they have like where they do different things, but now it's cool because they have another item that you can get that effects based on what type of gun you have.
19:28.072 --> 19:36.782
[SPEAKER_02]: So if you have a G comes or you have a Malawanna or you have a COV you're whatever all these different types of the have Yeah, it affects that so you do you watch a lot of our measures.
19:37.002 --> 19:39.605
[SPEAKER_02]: Let's see OV I don't know what it stands for it says.
19:39.665 --> 19:42.048
[SPEAKER_02]: So you'll be out of I know what it means.
19:42.428 --> 19:48.595
[SPEAKER_02]: All right, sorry circles can make you feel a lens Yeah, I have no idea Yeah, that's what it means
19:49.300 --> 19:53.004
[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, yeah, week's good overall, life's good, can't complain.
19:53.044 --> 19:54.986
[SPEAKER_02]: So good, glad we got it.
19:55.286 --> 19:56.687
[SPEAKER_00]: And thank you again for your kindness.
19:56.727 --> 20:07.318
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, before we get into POEish, talk, we either had a discussion that I don't remember or completely forgot to discuss a private lead for three, two, six.
20:08.585 --> 20:21.871
[SPEAKER_00]: You won the last one out there we have in our discord is the second 325 PL because of course that lasted a year so we haven't done For 26 it was for 325 and we you and I in the past agreed
20:29.255 --> 20:35.521
[SPEAKER_00]: I forget if it was on or off camera, so whatever it doesn't matter, um, that we weren't going to do any beta private leaks.
20:36.222 --> 20:40.326
[SPEAKER_00]: So what we were going to do is I don't know if you had, I'm right.
20:40.586 --> 20:46.772
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm the one that's concussed and dealing with, uh, oh, you hate taking something out, right?
20:47.333 --> 20:47.573
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
20:48.174 --> 20:51.137
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, remind me later then to tell you something.
20:52.913 --> 20:55.614
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so I'm the one that's concussed.
20:55.994 --> 21:03.597
[SPEAKER_00]: I have the horrible memory for the rest of my life, but just that's the one that remembers less than I do about our conversation.
21:03.617 --> 21:04.877
[SPEAKER_00]: On the things, yes, that's true.
21:04.897 --> 21:09.939
[SPEAKER_00]: So, if I'm remembering correctly, you and I agreed to do just one private league.
21:10.639 --> 21:16.843
[SPEAKER_00]: a league, but we're not doing any for Path of Exile 2 until it's officially released.
21:16.863 --> 21:18.964
[SPEAKER_00]: We're not doing any any beta PLs.
21:19.664 --> 21:28.690
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, once you do this out, two comes out, we're only going to do private leagues for the game we're playing, which we expect to only be Path of Exile 2.
21:29.010 --> 21:33.232
[SPEAKER_00]: So even if you're got like going back to Path 1, we're not going to do PLs for Path 1.
21:33.452 --> 21:35.914
[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to stick to PLs for Path 2 at that point.
21:36.152 --> 21:36.972
[SPEAKER_00]: That was the idea.
21:37.052 --> 21:41.054
[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously we don't know what's going to happen in the future, but that's I feel like it's a fluid conversation.
21:41.174 --> 21:42.034
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know the solution.
21:42.054 --> 21:42.275
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
21:42.535 --> 21:48.337
[SPEAKER_00]: But to do a PL once every two months is not something that we are going to do.
21:48.357 --> 21:49.678
[SPEAKER_00]: Especially if it's both games.
21:50.098 --> 21:51.118
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's a bit of a thing.
21:51.378 --> 21:54.640
[SPEAKER_00]: But until because it's beta right now, we're going to stick with path one.
21:54.660 --> 21:57.221
[SPEAKER_00]: So we still haven't done a PL for three, two, six.
21:58.201 --> 21:59.682
[SPEAKER_00]: And what comes out next?
21:59.822 --> 22:02.424
[SPEAKER_02]: Are we a path of XO1 release next, I guess, right?
22:02.964 --> 22:05.005
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
22:05.105 --> 22:07.747
[SPEAKER_00]: So, sorry to keep up, when's that, when supposed to be December?
22:07.807 --> 22:11.729
[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, two months after this one came out, we talked about.
22:11.749 --> 22:15.952
[SPEAKER_00]: Light already be, I don't know how long it's been two weeks, a month, I don't know.
22:16.492 --> 22:22.175
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it makes sense as October, because in two months later it's December, which I feel like that's when they want to do their path to release.
22:22.595 --> 22:24.977
[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm assuming there's another path one release
22:28.097 --> 22:32.060
[SPEAKER_00]: So we know what we're talking about for after dark today.
22:32.400 --> 22:36.242
[SPEAKER_00]: After darkers get to hear about path that's on P.L.
22:36.262 --> 22:40.205
[SPEAKER_02]: Is the talk whether or not we're going to do a path of XL136 privately.
22:40.225 --> 22:40.865
[SPEAKER_02]: Is that the idea then?
22:43.347 --> 22:45.269
[SPEAKER_00]: Wow, it's an easy S for me.
22:45.549 --> 22:46.430
[SPEAKER_00]: No reason not to.
22:46.630 --> 22:56.278
[SPEAKER_00]: Doesn't interest me like I'm not I haven't played like my filter hasn't been updated I'm like I don't even know if I would I'd play it kind of thing or I could just wing it and then not care Which okay, yeah, I'll do that.
22:56.358 --> 22:56.678
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll do that.
22:56.718 --> 22:57.639
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll wing it and not care.
22:57.659 --> 23:04.765
[SPEAKER_00]: It looks like but I have to remember though that's not cross compatible Like there's so many things that already I take for granted with
23:05.165 --> 23:07.566
[SPEAKER_00]: the differences in greatness of Path of Excel too.
23:07.606 --> 23:28.293
[SPEAKER_00]: Sure, lots of criticism, but we'll get into some of the cool stuff that they announced this week too, but like all ready, like we talk about all the nitpicky things, which I guess aren't nitpicky, it's just it's great to have opinions while something's going through great change like a beta and they're willing and aspiring to just make the game the best that it can be without being
23:28.973 --> 23:40.718
[SPEAKER_00]: This typical stick in the mods that they were like five, six, seven years ago regarding certain things and not in a negative way it's just these are the ways this is the way they wanted to make the game and are not going to change it referring to path one quite a few years ago.
23:42.058 --> 23:43.039
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to lie.
23:43.199 --> 23:43.639
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
23:43.719 --> 23:45.620
[SPEAKER_00]: I have no idea what I was talking about.
23:45.680 --> 23:50.062
[SPEAKER_00]: We just had like a 30 second gap there where Justin's like hoping I remember what I was talking about.
23:50.782 --> 23:52.683
[SPEAKER_00]: We talked about the private leagues.
23:53.523 --> 23:55.384
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't remember where you were going with it.
23:56.031 --> 23:57.152
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, right, right, right, right, right, right.
23:57.172 --> 23:57.473
[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
23:57.493 --> 23:58.794
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you can play with me in place.
23:58.814 --> 24:00.676
[SPEAKER_00]: You see, only because, yes, right.
24:00.736 --> 24:04.340
[SPEAKER_00]: Already, I'm taking for granted that there's like no coach co-op.
24:04.381 --> 24:06.323
[SPEAKER_00]: There's no cross compatibility.
24:06.383 --> 24:07.644
[SPEAKER_00]: There's nothing like that.
24:07.684 --> 24:09.586
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I can't just sit down and play on the piece right.
24:09.706 --> 24:12.169
[SPEAKER_00]: And then decide to play on, yeah, like I have to.
24:12.950 --> 24:15.751
[SPEAKER_00]: take away from my wife's precious PC time.
24:16.311 --> 24:26.053
[SPEAKER_00]: And so anyway, I will, of course, because, you know, PL's PL, but I'll wing it because I'm not even up to date on my filter land stuff, and I'm probably not going to continue it.
24:26.133 --> 24:27.773
[SPEAKER_00]: So, but for past one.
24:28.353 --> 24:30.053
[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I don't want to say yes.
24:30.353 --> 24:31.854
[SPEAKER_02]: And then we'll just figure out stuff in 80.
24:32.354 --> 24:35.454
[SPEAKER_02]: If you, if you do want to ever play in our private leagues, it's all discord related.
24:35.474 --> 24:36.995
[SPEAKER_02]: So pop into our discord, say hello.
24:37.455 --> 24:38.475
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a very fun place to be.
24:39.083 --> 24:41.965
[SPEAKER_02]: Also, middle of the podcast, don't forget to hit five certain Spotify.
24:42.085 --> 24:42.546
[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
24:43.146 --> 24:43.406
[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
24:43.767 --> 24:45.268
[SPEAKER_02]: But we got this freaking POE.
24:45.908 --> 24:51.492
[SPEAKER_00]: But if you are going to click four star instead of giving them the art star, no, just there's only a five.
24:51.532 --> 24:53.954
[SPEAKER_00]: Just message us and be like, you know what would really make you five.
24:54.014 --> 24:54.274
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
24:54.815 --> 24:57.677
[SPEAKER_00]: And we'll be like, oh, we retarly promise.
24:57.757 --> 24:59.658
[SPEAKER_00]: We've never heard that before.
24:59.718 --> 25:00.139
[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
25:02.120 --> 25:02.340
[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
25:02.621 --> 25:02.921
[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
25:02.941 --> 25:03.321
[SPEAKER_00]: What do we got?
25:03.341 --> 25:05.263
[SPEAKER_00]: This week in POE just and we had.
25:05.283 --> 25:07.304
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, man.
25:07.344 --> 25:08.745
[SPEAKER_00]: I ate the new Trello.
25:09.286 --> 25:09.886
[SPEAKER_00]: Just wait.
25:10.247 --> 25:10.707
[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
25:10.727 --> 25:15.211
[SPEAKER_00]: There was patch notes for path one and the third edict mystery box is now available.
25:15.651 --> 25:16.131
[SPEAKER_00]: Is there no?
25:16.151 --> 25:16.392
[SPEAKER_00]: No.
25:17.112 --> 25:18.894
[SPEAKER_02]: I thought that it was odd that I didn't.
25:19.374 --> 25:23.357
[SPEAKER_02]: I thought that the mystery boxes were all up today, but maybe I would just wasn't paying attention.
25:23.377 --> 25:24.098
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
25:24.558 --> 25:24.738
[SPEAKER_02]: Cool.
25:24.818 --> 25:25.739
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not spending anything
25:30.788 --> 25:34.910
[SPEAKER_02]: I probably will, I just don't know what, I feel like I'm more inclined to spend on PUE1 though lately.
25:35.451 --> 25:41.874
[SPEAKER_02]: The last time I played the PUE1 private league, our private league is when I was like, oh man, it shouldn't have been some MTX stuff.
25:42.534 --> 25:47.097
[SPEAKER_02]: I honestly can't remember what was 326, the one where you got a buddy.
25:47.717 --> 25:49.098
[SPEAKER_02]: The played with you, set 326.
25:49.978 --> 25:52.019
[SPEAKER_02]: He talking those like mercenary guys.
25:52.319 --> 25:52.659
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
25:52.739 --> 25:54.620
[SPEAKER_02]: Is that the Zana changes like endgame?
25:54.680 --> 25:55.660
[SPEAKER_02]: Was that the last one?
25:55.720 --> 25:56.140
[SPEAKER_02]: Was it the new?
25:56.200 --> 25:57.320
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's the only six.
25:57.381 --> 25:57.641
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
25:57.701 --> 25:58.321
[SPEAKER_02]: I love that one.
25:58.421 --> 25:59.021
[SPEAKER_02]: Good lord.
25:59.081 --> 25:59.861
[SPEAKER_02]: I cannot remember.
26:00.101 --> 26:01.162
[SPEAKER_02]: Now with these two games.
26:01.242 --> 26:01.482
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
26:01.722 --> 26:02.142
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, cool.
26:02.882 --> 26:05.123
[SPEAKER_00]: And then couple path 2.
26:05.163 --> 26:08.745
[SPEAKER_00]: But that, I mean, the patch notes is just getting ready for the mtx stuff like that.
26:09.445 --> 26:11.326
[SPEAKER_00]: Path 2 boss rush event fan our
26:15.507 --> 26:18.210
[SPEAKER_00]: And then there was a boss versus boss video, was a couple versus couple.
26:18.810 --> 26:20.892
[SPEAKER_00]: So we could do some reason, and I used to love those.
26:21.673 --> 26:23.835
[SPEAKER_00]: And I still do in theory, but I never click on them anymore.
26:23.855 --> 26:24.856
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't watch them.
26:25.336 --> 26:26.237
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't watch these ones.
26:26.878 --> 26:27.198
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
26:27.318 --> 26:29.320
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm probably just grumpy and old now.
26:30.241 --> 26:31.022
[SPEAKER_00]: Definitely earth out.
26:32.142 --> 26:37.924
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, the patch notes for the game, a couple small things, but big things to those that it impacts.
26:37.944 --> 26:54.310
[SPEAKER_00]: So super duper is just one small little, what was it, 3.0, C, hot picks to do, but there was a very big announcement today, these are today, sorry this week, and it says Path of Excel to major end game changes.
26:54.390 --> 27:00.172
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the video says something different than what the thumbnail of the video says.
27:01.132 --> 27:17.973
[SPEAKER_00]: but still there's some really cool changes happening to endgame in path 2 and they're applying they were going to make 4.40 a big endgame patch but they figured they're doing so much they may as well add what they can now without the content that an league needs.
27:18.474 --> 27:21.395
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, so before even getting into the content, I think that's a good talking point.
27:21.415 --> 27:22.255
[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that's awesome.
27:22.335 --> 27:28.137
[SPEAKER_02]: I think that they, I love that they want to try and do this four months cycle two months of each blah, blah, blah.
27:28.697 --> 27:30.817
[SPEAKER_02]: But we're planning a beta.
27:30.857 --> 27:36.339
[SPEAKER_02]: And if they have something that they think will make the game better, better at the time, I would rather see them come out with it as they come out with it.
27:36.739 --> 27:39.500
[SPEAKER_02]: I know that they want to try and keep this schedule of league releases.
27:39.620 --> 27:39.780
[SPEAKER_02]: But
27:40.680 --> 27:52.044
[SPEAKER_02]: And fine, that's great to do it, but I like I love this that they go, hey, we've got something that's going to, I mean, they are very much shaking up the end game with this change so I appreciate that they're coming out with it.
27:52.124 --> 27:56.885
[SPEAKER_02]: I also think that it's better for them to do that because they've got time for players to test it.
27:57.186 --> 28:01.347
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not sure that everything that I saw in that video and have read is like a permanent change.
28:02.287 --> 28:10.691
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, which I think is great because they're making some 180 changes on a lot of stuff where they're just picking a different direction and going with it.
28:10.771 --> 28:11.952
[SPEAKER_02]: So I like it.
28:12.572 --> 28:17.274
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, I completely agree whether or not like the specifics of it work better or worse.
28:17.314 --> 28:21.936
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, this is very much going more towards Path of XL1, right, especially when you had.
28:21.976 --> 28:26.819
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, were those circular things that you would put in, um, they got rid of them.
28:27.419 --> 28:29.560
[SPEAKER_00]: But they were these circles you would put into your... Oh.
28:31.041 --> 28:31.701
[SPEAKER_00]: What were they called?
28:32.062 --> 28:35.503
[SPEAKER_00]: There was bronze, two and gold, one's the number one, number one.
28:36.384 --> 28:38.705
[SPEAKER_00]: And they would impact all your maps.
28:39.365 --> 28:40.006
[SPEAKER_00]: What were they called?
28:40.046 --> 28:41.286
[SPEAKER_00]: I remember that long time ago.
28:41.346 --> 28:42.007
[SPEAKER_00]: Compassion?
28:42.147 --> 28:42.587
[SPEAKER_00]: No.
28:42.807 --> 28:43.828
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I can't remember what they were.
28:45.470 --> 28:52.238
[SPEAKER_00]: It's been a bit, it's been a bit, and then they converted them on to one variety, one rarity of them.
28:52.278 --> 28:55.202
[SPEAKER_00]: They're used to be like a bronze silver.
28:55.222 --> 28:58.286
[SPEAKER_00]: They weren't called bronze silver gold, but they looked, they had those colors.
28:58.866 --> 29:00.208
[SPEAKER_00]: And they were like these coils.
29:00.448 --> 29:03.132
[SPEAKER_00]: They looked like coils that you would put in maybe they were compasses.
29:03.152 --> 29:03.472
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
29:03.552 --> 29:04.353
[SPEAKER_00]: And I can't remember.
29:04.794 --> 29:08.178
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, and they would impact it's almost like they're going back to that, right?
29:08.238 --> 29:09.440
[SPEAKER_00]: Where it's just you put these things in.
29:09.460 --> 29:20.574
[SPEAKER_00]: But either way, well, the two things I want to point out, whether this game is making something that's specific to what your preferences are, not your referring to the greater community, not specifically you, but to everybody.
29:21.135 --> 29:25.601
[SPEAKER_00]: They're willing to make changes, mid-leave, which I think is great.
29:26.062 --> 29:27.344
[SPEAKER_00]: Like you said, it's beta.
29:27.384 --> 29:30.588
[SPEAKER_00]: They're not waiting four months to make big changes.
29:30.608 --> 29:36.577
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there's some things that they are saving for the sake of having content for a reveal, like they would for a normal league, but...
29:37.578 --> 29:44.248
[SPEAKER_00]: It's mid-league, and they're getting rid of the functionality of towers completely from ed game.
29:44.849 --> 29:45.269
[SPEAKER_00]: There it is.
29:45.730 --> 29:47.052
[SPEAKER_00]: They're giving you a heads up, of course.
29:47.092 --> 29:49.215
[SPEAKER_00]: The patch hasn't come out yet, but that's what they're going to do.
29:49.596 --> 29:50.337
[SPEAKER_00]: That's amazing.
29:50.357 --> 29:51.939
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's still there, but yeah.
29:52.540 --> 29:55.222
[SPEAKER_00]: Right, so that's the thing that I wanted to say.
29:55.342 --> 29:57.464
[SPEAKER_00]: There's another thing that I wanted to say.
29:57.484 --> 30:01.107
[SPEAKER_00]: I think the kept the, sorry, I'm starting a bit.
30:01.628 --> 30:16.760
[SPEAKER_00]: No matter the direction the company's going in terms of an individual offense preference for the direction of the game, when a game is in beta, a company that's willing to change everything and anything for the betterment of the game,
30:17.521 --> 30:20.204
[SPEAKER_00]: is the exact thing a player wants.
30:20.924 --> 30:28.691
[SPEAKER_00]: So again, irrelevant to the preferences of the direction, a company that is willing to change something for the betterment of the game no matter what.
30:29.172 --> 30:30.613
[SPEAKER_00]: Like this is a big deal.
30:31.153 --> 30:35.117
[SPEAKER_00]: Like if you're doing this, you're almost at the point where you don't need to 3D map anymore.
30:35.517 --> 30:43.424
[SPEAKER_00]: You probably keep it because the investment that of time that it went into it, but to get rid of like towers and radius and stuff like that, what's the point of a 3D map?
30:44.782 --> 30:54.615
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, they're still going in like the sense of next is finding the areas that are whatever they call them corrupted find moments of Zen, some of the other stuff.
30:54.955 --> 30:58.880
[SPEAKER_00]: So, but you could have done that on the 2D Atlas 2 for path 1.
30:59.783 --> 31:04.928
[SPEAKER_00]: not it we were similar to the amoeba influence that you had with shaper and elder.
31:05.408 --> 31:06.609
[SPEAKER_00]: Essentially it's a thing.
31:06.629 --> 31:07.710
[SPEAKER_02]: You're chasing things.
31:07.750 --> 31:11.834
[SPEAKER_02]: You're chasing like bought for these premium bosses or whatever they're called powerful bosses.
31:11.874 --> 31:16.638
[SPEAKER_02]: You're still looking for certain unique scenarios that you can find within them.
31:17.419 --> 31:21.322
[SPEAKER_02]: I do like that they can't remember what does the tower do now when you click it.
31:21.342 --> 31:23.204
[SPEAKER_02]: Because you can still throw a drop.
31:23.264 --> 31:24.866
[SPEAKER_02]: It drops a precursor tablet.
31:25.406 --> 31:34.631
[SPEAKER_00]: But so if you're taking some, for me, it's going to take some playing around to fully understand changes because I didn't have too much time in endgame.
31:35.492 --> 31:40.875
[SPEAKER_00]: But the clipart, the thumbnail for the video says towers gone.
31:41.575 --> 31:43.897
[SPEAKER_00]: But then in the video, they're not saying towers are gone.
31:43.937 --> 31:47.499
[SPEAKER_00]: They're just saying the current functionality for towers is now completely different.
31:47.559 --> 31:52.582
[SPEAKER_02]: And not just to say it's a player that's played and gotten frustrated though with towers.
31:52.622 --> 31:58.606
[SPEAKER_02]: We'll completely understand that that's what they're referencing is that the use of towers has gone now.
31:58.826 --> 31:59.026
[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
31:59.326 --> 32:03.729
[SPEAKER_00]: For me, without a lot of endgame experience, tower's gone means I don't.
32:04.289 --> 32:05.770
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not even looking for towers anymore.
32:05.790 --> 32:06.471
[SPEAKER_00]: They're not even there.
32:06.891 --> 32:07.431
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm looking for you.
32:07.451 --> 32:08.552
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have things for me.
32:10.313 --> 32:14.355
[SPEAKER_00]: I, like, I don't know how I feel about this, but it's not about a criticism.
32:14.495 --> 32:23.440
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just there was part of me that was kind of excited for a bit of a change and that change was I was getting used to the idea of having
32:24.553 --> 32:26.174
[SPEAKER_00]: map completion be about rare.
32:26.234 --> 32:27.495
[SPEAKER_00]: So, okay, I've got to find all the rare's.
32:27.555 --> 32:29.316
[SPEAKER_00]: And, okay, well, rares are a huge part of the game.
32:29.336 --> 32:42.724
[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of the time, you plan your build around, like especially in path one, you plan your build, not around the bosses are going to fight, but around the dumb combinations of rares and rare modifiers, including rare modifiers, base types, throw all that together.
32:42.744 --> 32:45.706
[SPEAKER_00]: If you can handle rares in the game, you can handle anything in path one.
32:45.746 --> 32:49.529
[SPEAKER_00]: So, that's kind of what you build your character around inadvertently.
32:50.169 --> 32:57.056
[SPEAKER_00]: And so, to all of a sudden, have a whole bunch of maps, you know, 90% of your maps revolve around defeat all the rares for map completion nets.
32:57.797 --> 33:01.220
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, like, take some getting used to, like, I'm always about the boss fights, right?
33:01.260 --> 33:05.484
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I love the Metamorph, build your own boss kind of thing, and it always...
33:06.465 --> 33:33.490
[SPEAKER_00]: building my Atlas to boss benefits because that's just my favorite part like that's where meaningful combat comes from reactionary one-on-one big deal bosses that's even why I liked anarchy with the one of those what are they called they're in path two two what are they called the little guys are running around or pain in the ass yeah yeah those guys like that's I just like those bigger fights right one-on-one fights but so I'm getting used to the idea of rare's only in path two and I'm
33:33.970 --> 33:34.530
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, good.
33:34.690 --> 33:46.914
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I can get used to this and then you get really excited for an epic boss fight, but even though I don't like half the boss fights in path one or path two, GG takes a lot of pride in their boss fights.
33:46.934 --> 33:54.616
[SPEAKER_00]: So that's kind of the opposite for like you are really proud of the hundreds of bosses you have, but I'm seeing them one out of every ten maps.
33:55.216 --> 33:55.796
[SPEAKER_00]: kind of thing, right?
33:56.316 --> 34:00.958
[SPEAKER_00]: With the exception of focusing on something specific, again, I'm not used to end game there for end game strategy.
34:01.538 --> 34:04.879
[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know where, again, and again, this is mid league.
34:05.539 --> 34:08.360
[SPEAKER_00]: Every map now is like path one again.
34:08.380 --> 34:09.741
[SPEAKER_00]: Do you hear my stomach?
34:10.521 --> 34:11.361
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, then it won't show up.
34:11.481 --> 34:11.942
[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
34:11.962 --> 34:14.943
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it sounded like a fart anyway, but it was my stomach, and I wanted to make sure you knew that.
34:15.423 --> 34:15.583
[SPEAKER_00]: But!
34:16.463 --> 34:19.224
[SPEAKER_00]: Every map now is about defeating the boss.
34:19.424 --> 34:23.986
[SPEAKER_00]: Every map has a boss and the map completion is about the boss and the rares are just there.
34:24.046 --> 34:26.847
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's again very much like path one.
34:27.787 --> 34:28.407
[SPEAKER_00]: Not a bad thing.
34:28.767 --> 34:35.189
[SPEAKER_00]: It was just I was in the process of still getting used to the idea of, okay.
34:35.330 --> 34:36.190
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, let's try this out.
34:36.230 --> 34:42.172
[SPEAKER_00]: Like bosses are extra epic now because they're so rare and defeating all the rares is the primary focus of a build now.
34:42.800 --> 34:58.325
[SPEAKER_00]: So now it's back to the boss thing and again, they have so many bosses to deal with and to all that kind of stuff and like I like the direction that this is going I think I preferred the path one one, but I was my heart was willing to be open for the new path to experience.
34:58.345 --> 34:58.945
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm curious.
34:59.665 --> 35:16.953
[SPEAKER_00]: How difficult that was for whoever was, or the group of people at GGG2, really be excited for the rare only experience, especially because they're putting a lot more effort into what combination of mods can roll together and what combination of mods can roll with certain enemy base types.
35:17.653 --> 35:25.440
[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully that attention still matters to them when map completion is no longer based on rare enemies.
35:25.940 --> 35:39.312
[SPEAKER_00]: So hopefully they still put that attention to detail there, but I wonder how difficult that was to change something so substantial both for the towers, which is very new and for what map completion is.
35:39.993 --> 35:47.176
[SPEAKER_02]: So I, I never liked the kill all the rares as the completion, but it was a very interesting strategy for them.
35:47.216 --> 35:51.817
[SPEAKER_02]: And they, I mean, Kudos to them for trying it out and seeing how it works.
35:52.378 --> 35:57.840
[SPEAKER_02]: I think my biggest struggle with it was just the way that their layouts were on the maps.
35:57.900 --> 36:00.641
[SPEAKER_02]: It was very hard to find them and then your bouncing around trying to get to them.
36:00.941 --> 36:01.341
[SPEAKER_02]: The thing is,
36:02.221 --> 36:03.542
[SPEAKER_02]: Here's why I like this change.
36:03.602 --> 36:13.586
[SPEAKER_02]: When you're mapping, when you're like in general, when you're mapping, your goal is to get to the tier 15, so to get to progress to the hardest stuff because that's where you're going to get the best loot and the biggest challenge.
36:14.186 --> 36:19.848
[SPEAKER_02]: So if I have to loop around to try and find this one rare that's remaining, it's just, it's exhausting.
36:19.888 --> 36:23.510
[SPEAKER_02]: If my whole goal is just to progress, this is just to move forward to the next point.
36:24.030 --> 36:25.191
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what it is.
36:25.431 --> 36:26.452
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, definitely.
36:26.952 --> 36:30.114
[SPEAKER_02]: But the thing is, like, Lou is based around the rarer.
36:30.234 --> 36:37.740
[SPEAKER_02]: So when you get to those tier 15s, it matters less by the time you get to there, because I want to fly through the map.
36:37.800 --> 36:41.382
[SPEAKER_02]: I want to kill as much as I can, but the fact is the rarer is where I'm going to find my Lou.
36:41.502 --> 36:48.127
[SPEAKER_02]: Most likely, the boss is great now, because bosses are an awesome way to make sure you're sustaining waste stones.
36:50.388 --> 37:04.570
[SPEAKER_02]: I would rather have it that if I'm going to have to progress through this map anyway, I'm going to find the boss because that's just the nature of progressing through a map, but at least I know that when I hit this one end and I missed a rare back there, I don't have to go and try and find that rare.
37:04.731 --> 37:04.771
[SPEAKER_02]: I-
37:05.792 --> 37:07.053
[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's a really cool move.
37:07.253 --> 37:16.240
[SPEAKER_02]: And Kudos to them for trying it out for whatever it is, three leagues, before there was a lot of pressure early.
37:16.480 --> 37:21.985
[SPEAKER_02]: Like they probably had more pressure early on than they have right now about what are you doing.
37:22.005 --> 37:22.805
[SPEAKER_02]: This rare thing.
37:22.825 --> 37:23.546
[SPEAKER_02]: We don't like it.
37:23.606 --> 37:24.146
[SPEAKER_02]: It's new.
37:24.707 --> 37:28.970
[SPEAKER_02]: So their pressure in the beginning for them sticking through it and going like, well, let's just try it.
37:29.030 --> 37:34.795
[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's great because at the beginning, POE players were not used to
37:35.555 --> 37:39.178
[SPEAKER_02]: having to chase down all the rars in order to complete a map.
37:39.218 --> 37:40.039
[SPEAKER_02]: I did make any sense.
37:40.079 --> 37:44.942
[SPEAKER_02]: We'd been so trained to go and kill a boss before you move on.
37:45.903 --> 37:53.589
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, big kudos to them, giving it nine ten months before they made a change back to the familiar.
37:53.609 --> 38:01.395
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe the familiar is the the better route, sure overall, but they didn't make a knee-jerk reaction because of any uproar at the beginning.
38:01.815 --> 38:09.799
[SPEAKER_00]: They gave it a, like who can criticize them for going back to the original way when they gave it nine or 10 months, you know what I mean?
38:10.479 --> 38:18.283
[SPEAKER_00]: One thing that I think they should do, and I know the wiki, well, path one wiki, I assume the path two wiki is also paid for by them, not updated by them, but paid for by them.
38:18.343 --> 38:30.008
[SPEAKER_00]: But one thing that I would really like is, so they have comments in their patch notes, like these kind of things drop from these people, or these kind of things now have this kind of rarity based on this or that, in terms of drops.
38:30.647 --> 38:52.302
[SPEAKER_00]: I would love that to be updated specifically by GGG on the wiki because like what kind of waste stones can drop or how many tiers above a certain monster level that kind of stuff is so important and for it to be ambiguous or unsure to a player is that I just it's it's tough.
38:53.002 --> 39:19.090
[SPEAKER_00]: to think that something's happening but not know for sure and I think when you're making these change out of course it's beta so who cares about that now but what's the game comes out something like okay so bosses can drop this amount of tiers higher this item level higher than the current monster level or these specific items you know if it's based on unique or something like that and then rares can drop this item level higher than what they
39:22.051 --> 39:38.322
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, so for example, we've been a part of the process, but a rare strong box is guaranteed drop a rare item whereas a rare monster currently is not that kind of stuff like for them to be in complete control of the, I don't know, drops page on the wiki.
39:38.942 --> 39:41.464
[SPEAKER_00]: I think is would be absolutely vital.
39:41.524 --> 39:45.366
[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, after they've already made all the decisions and figured things out and how it's all going to work.
39:45.586 --> 39:46.527
[SPEAKER_00]: And again, this is beta.
39:46.567 --> 39:47.468
[SPEAKER_00]: So now's not the time.
39:48.028 --> 40:06.200
[SPEAKER_00]: But I would love that because now that bosses are the focal point and you no longer are required to kill any quantity of rarers to complete the map you can complete the map as fast as you want and just move on and in terms of that they also changed what was at their 15 biggest map sizes and kind of made it all.
40:06.900 --> 40:27.941
[SPEAKER_00]: Similar to Path of Exile 1 veterans for you listeners that are only playing Path 2, this isn't going to make a lot of sense, but in Path 1 they have ratios based on, okay, this is the size of map, this maps a lot smaller, so we're changing the ratio of monsters, and this, and that, they change dramatically change monster ratios in this patch too, mid league again.
40:29.543 --> 40:43.054
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just, it changes so much for the user and it'd be really cool for the user, eventually, again, what the game comes out to know what to expect from certain fights, whether it's rare, unique, or specific unique.
40:43.074 --> 40:43.555
[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
40:44.095 --> 40:44.736
[SPEAKER_00]: Monster, that is.
40:45.136 --> 41:03.935
[SPEAKER_02]: I think that there is some information out there, but I have no idea if it's come directly from Granny Your Games, or just from testing that people figured out, because I know that I've had conversations with people about what to your can drop on bosses, and it seemed to very POE-1, it seems very similar to what POE-1 was, but yeah.
41:04.563 --> 41:04.723
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
41:04.943 --> 41:10.406
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, then also because now they've had a complexity of this isn't just an item level, but it's an item level tier four.
41:10.986 --> 41:11.627
[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
41:11.687 --> 41:14.748
[SPEAKER_00]: So, well, it's just four just means you're going to, yeah, yeah.
41:14.788 --> 41:25.954
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it'd be cool for that to actually be governed by them and making sure that's up to date instead of requiring users, just oh shoot out of these 10,000 posts.
41:26.034 --> 41:29.415
[SPEAKER_00]: I think this one's the most recent one where they commented on this patch.
41:29.936 --> 41:30.976
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, now this has changed.
41:31.496 --> 41:32.037
[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
41:32.077 --> 41:32.297
[SPEAKER_00]: I think
41:32.937 --> 41:35.540
[SPEAKER_00]: That's too vital of a page to leave different, but that's a complete side.
41:35.580 --> 41:45.111
[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's just there was so much changing in that regards that for people that actually know how drops work, they'll be interesting to see the focus and all of that, right?
41:45.131 --> 41:48.134
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, how many changes do the last two you can do?
41:48.535 --> 41:50.197
[SPEAKER_02]: You want to do the highest two you can do to get the
41:51.738 --> 41:59.761
[SPEAKER_02]: They're changes to the way that you use the tablets is weird to me and I'm curious to see how that part works.
42:00.081 --> 42:01.662
[SPEAKER_00]: This is one, what's that?
42:02.222 --> 42:03.362
[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, you keep talking.
42:03.442 --> 42:06.663
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to try and find something on the original path one, Wiki, though.
42:06.723 --> 42:09.404
[SPEAKER_00]: So you keep talking, but there's something I got to try and find.
42:09.804 --> 42:10.525
[SPEAKER_02]: Relatedness.
42:11.165 --> 42:12.625
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
42:12.945 --> 42:19.948
[SPEAKER_02]: I just, my concern with the tablets is the tablets of, so your map is almost treated like the towers used to be one second.
42:21.088 --> 42:24.331
[SPEAKER_02]: When you put your map in now, it's treated almost similar to half.
42:25.332 --> 42:26.374
[SPEAKER_02]: I found it, keep talking.
42:26.774 --> 42:27.915
[SPEAKER_02]: No, what did you find?
42:28.436 --> 42:29.016
[SPEAKER_00]: Sexdance.
42:29.817 --> 42:30.658
[SPEAKER_02]: OK, cool.
42:31.098 --> 42:32.160
[SPEAKER_02]: You remember those in the past one?
42:32.180 --> 42:35.643
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we would have watched them for the hours, yeah, yeah.
42:36.504 --> 42:43.612
[SPEAKER_02]: Put in the tablets in when you put your map in now and have been limited to how many tablets you can run based on how many modifiers are on the map.
42:44.476 --> 43:00.923
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know how I feel about that one because it means that in order to experience three tablets worth of content, so maybe you want into throw on a breach and a expedition and whatever delirium.
43:01.503 --> 43:16.589
[SPEAKER_02]: You have to run a full six-tier map, which is maybe fine when you're like endgame-built, like you're really, really endgame-built, but six-tier modifiers first off their risky, because you get one try, right?
43:16.769 --> 43:21.491
[SPEAKER_02]: The portal system is based off of the amount of mods that are on the map.
43:21.571 --> 43:24.652
[SPEAKER_02]: So when you run a six-tier map, you have one
43:27.473 --> 43:29.875
[SPEAKER_02]: way in, as soon as you die, you really get a point out.
43:30.536 --> 43:35.640
[SPEAKER_02]: And my concern and now you're putting bosses is the completion, which are the boss fights are phenomenal.
43:35.680 --> 43:41.705
[SPEAKER_02]: I love their bosses, but you're also now six modding that that boss with whatever else is on it.
43:41.765 --> 43:43.986
[SPEAKER_02]: So like it's really cool.
43:44.086 --> 43:45.388
[SPEAKER_02]: I do like the idea of it.
43:46.689 --> 43:47.569
[SPEAKER_02]: The one good thing.
43:47.749 --> 43:47.910
[SPEAKER_02]: And it
43:49.674 --> 43:57.341
[SPEAKER_02]: The fact that they've made such massive changes with this mid league, that's why I feel like this is just a lot of testing, which I'm all for it.
43:57.541 --> 43:58.262
[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's great.
43:58.582 --> 44:04.087
[SPEAKER_02]: Let us run this for another six or eight months and then they sort of maneuver around what they think works and what doesn't.
44:04.267 --> 44:12.275
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know that this is the final fix for it, because it just seems like I know that I could do what they're suggesting on one of my builds.
44:12.995 --> 44:13.836
[SPEAKER_02]: on one of my builds.
44:13.896 --> 44:20.403
[SPEAKER_02]: And anybody that's listening that plays a lightning arrow dead eye would probably agree.
44:20.463 --> 44:22.185
[SPEAKER_02]: It's just it's insanely strong.
44:22.245 --> 44:22.865
[SPEAKER_02]: It's very easy.
44:22.986 --> 44:23.907
[SPEAKER_02]: I could run all of it.
44:24.407 --> 44:28.812
[SPEAKER_02]: But I couldn't tell my I'd certainly couldn't on the other builds that I'm trying to play.
44:29.332 --> 44:31.454
[SPEAKER_02]: I would not be able to do six modded.
44:32.095 --> 44:35.878
[SPEAKER_02]: and then throw on these three different tablets into it.
44:35.978 --> 44:39.221
[SPEAKER_02]: So I do like the idea because I hate towers.
44:39.321 --> 44:45.826
[SPEAKER_02]: I think I said it even last week that I hate the idea of trying to find towers how they overlap and then I have to be stuck in that little area.
44:46.107 --> 44:47.888
[SPEAKER_02]: That's just not, it wasn't for me.
44:47.948 --> 44:52.552
[SPEAKER_02]: So I love that this changes sort of remove that and I can just play the Atlas however I want.
44:53.152 --> 44:58.694
[SPEAKER_02]: I really hope they do a big pass to the Alice passives, but I think it's cool.
44:58.734 --> 45:01.675
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a good direction I'm glad that the towers aren't what they were before.
45:01.735 --> 45:06.997
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just curious to see how tablets work where you're putting them based on the modifier.
45:07.057 --> 45:09.338
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't really know why that's that I don't know why.
45:09.898 --> 45:10.599
[SPEAKER_02]: Like why are you?
45:10.759 --> 45:13.440
[SPEAKER_02]: Why are you restricting me to play the limitation engine?
45:13.460 --> 45:13.880
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah
45:14.540 --> 45:16.662
[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe they have a reason for it.
45:16.742 --> 45:26.568
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't I don't know what it that doesn't totally make sense to me like I feel like you could remove that there's no reason for it, but yeah, it's going to be fun to try out.
45:27.089 --> 45:27.309
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
45:27.469 --> 45:36.055
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, but now you're running into the question again, a portal's okay, so this like one, two, three like they started off with like one trying you're done no matter what.
45:36.515 --> 45:43.062
[SPEAKER_00]: System, but now they still have the portal restriction based on how difficult the game is you get less and less tries, okay?
45:43.322 --> 45:45.504
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like I like lose the portal.
45:46.165 --> 45:47.426
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, which is different for you.
45:47.466 --> 45:53.232
[SPEAKER_02]: We won because when I if I portal if I went back to like dump off stuff I lost a portal.
45:53.632 --> 45:53.872
[SPEAKER_02]: Great.
45:53.972 --> 45:55.093
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I do love that.
45:55.153 --> 45:55.654
[SPEAKER_00]: I love that.
45:55.714 --> 45:57.416
[SPEAKER_00]: I hope they don't get rid of that no matter what
45:59.077 --> 46:09.510
[SPEAKER_00]: Now they're running into a situation where how you juice maps is totally different and now it's almost up unless you are godly confident in your build.
46:10.111 --> 46:13.355
[SPEAKER_00]: You don't want to really juice your maps too much.
46:13.695 --> 46:18.020
[SPEAKER_00]: You're possibly going to be playing on the safer side unless you're not worried about
46:18.661 --> 46:23.703
[SPEAKER_00]: the amount of investment you have because you have oodles of investment waiting to be used already.
46:24.304 --> 46:33.748
[SPEAKER_00]: So depending on how difficult that investment is to come by and the mods you want and are hoping for, they might be putting themselves in a position.
46:33.768 --> 46:40.431
[SPEAKER_00]: Again, that could be just based on balance, but they might be putting themselves in a position where people don't want to really juice their maps anymore, because they'd rather have
46:41.091 --> 46:44.996
[SPEAKER_00]: the possibility of, okay, at least one.
46:45.217 --> 46:45.737
[SPEAKER_00]: Give me one.
46:46.398 --> 46:46.639
[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
46:47.240 --> 46:48.061
[SPEAKER_00]: But now you're in a chance.
46:48.141 --> 46:48.461
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
46:48.541 --> 46:58.214
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm going to reduce the difficulty a bit to have a little bit less chance of drops, but if I stay alive for the whole map, I have a better chance of drops.
46:59.029 --> 47:26.194
[SPEAKER_00]: as opposed to risking oh shoot yeah sure my drop chance is great but now I have to play super safe and super slow again I know elite players are elite players but I'm never considering them like when you're making path to for the general masses you're making it for the general masses not just the elite players and so what's what's the idea I think like this unless you're going with crazy attention to balance I just see going back to a six portal system
47:27.066 --> 47:33.388
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care if it's a six portal system, but Path of Excel has never been, and I don't think ever will be a one portal game.
47:33.709 --> 47:42.972
[SPEAKER_02]: You, there's not enough clarity in what's happening on the screen on the ground and around you to be able to say that you have one shot at this map.
47:43.092 --> 47:46.613
[SPEAKER_02]: I just, there, there are nowhere near that, and they won't ever be near it.
47:46.713 --> 47:50.075
[SPEAKER_02]: I know the visual clarity is an important part for them, which I appreciate, but the fact is,
47:50.875 --> 47:55.038
[SPEAKER_02]: it's never clear enough to make it a one portal thing.
47:55.138 --> 47:57.560
[SPEAKER_02]: So for me in a one portal thing, it's still big deal right now.
47:57.600 --> 48:01.503
[SPEAKER_02]: Like I'll run the six mods because my build is very strong with it.
48:01.543 --> 48:03.905
[SPEAKER_02]: And if I lose it, oh well, I do another one.
48:03.925 --> 48:12.112
[SPEAKER_00]: You bring up an awesome point because even though they are working on off-screen damage, which I love and they're working on like surprised damage.
48:12.132 --> 48:16.755
[SPEAKER_00]: And like you said, visual clarity and even what we say like after death damage, like they
48:17.636 --> 48:25.998
[SPEAKER_00]: They are working on that and I love that, but then they add a BIS, and for some reason a BIS does not follow any of those hopes and dreams.
48:26.778 --> 48:41.342
[SPEAKER_00]: The amount of off-screen damage that comes from a BIS monster is the amount of surprise damage that comes from the amount of like out of note, like if you're fighting one on one, you can see when this monster is going to do this effect that's on the ground, like the fire that bursts straight up out of the ground.
48:41.942 --> 48:48.006
[SPEAKER_00]: If you're fighting one on one, you can see when they're doing the animation, but when there's 30 enemies on your screen, that just shows up without the time to react.
48:48.046 --> 48:51.388
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it goes against it's very path of one-ish.
48:51.848 --> 48:52.188
[SPEAKER_00]: Abyss.
48:52.509 --> 48:54.530
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not path of Excel toish.
48:54.590 --> 48:55.170
[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
48:55.250 --> 48:57.692
[SPEAKER_00]: In terms of the mentality, they used to create this stuff.
48:58.412 --> 49:02.875
[SPEAKER_00]: And then you add many of the map layouts that they have,
49:05.977 --> 49:08.780
[SPEAKER_00]: But not just a small choke point, like a really long choke point.
49:08.800 --> 49:16.367
[SPEAKER_00]: You have all these enemies that are off-screen or near the range out of range where it's like, I just can't even get through this choke point here.
49:17.007 --> 49:22.893
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's just ridiculous, like it's not made for the maps, and it wasn't made for path 2.
49:23.553 --> 49:30.059
[SPEAKER_00]: And you add that kind of, alt-map path of x-all 1 mentality versus path of x-all 2 mentality 2,
49:31.160 --> 49:41.372
[SPEAKER_00]: a one portal system and I agree, I don't think throughout a stage there where they're used to controlling their game enough where they could do a one portal game, not saying to the next one.
49:41.392 --> 49:50.623
[SPEAKER_00]: Just like, oh, I don't know, whenever I'm sure, like they don't normally do a patch announcement and then make you wait two weeks, but it's not a big three.
49:51.383 --> 49:57.747
[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, I mean, it's good timing because I'm sort of certain if, get tired of boardal ends so that it'd be fun to go and try this out.
49:58.368 --> 49:59.348
[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, I think it's cool.
49:59.388 --> 50:00.029
[SPEAKER_02]: It's cool direction.
50:00.069 --> 50:01.570
[SPEAKER_02]: It's fun to see them switch things up.
50:02.070 --> 50:05.872
[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what the Beta's for to sort of mess around and figure things out.
50:06.012 --> 50:08.414
[SPEAKER_02]: And I love that they didn't just hold onto this until 0.4.
50:08.454 --> 50:12.556
[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's great because they could have, they definitely could have.
50:12.616 --> 50:14.638
[SPEAKER_02]: So I love that they're doing this mid mid league.
50:15.118 --> 50:15.318
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
50:15.818 --> 50:16.159
[SPEAKER_00]: What great?
50:16.939 --> 50:17.300
[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
50:17.840 --> 50:21.064
[SPEAKER_00]: So looking forward to it, like, uh, this is the beginning of a lot of changes.
50:21.124 --> 50:25.990
[SPEAKER_00]: And so if they're willing to do this now, they're not just going to be releasing, like,
50:35.322 --> 50:41.644
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah, like people have been hoping they're like, ah, no, it wasn't ready yet, but just like the, no, it's not ready yet kind of thing.
50:41.704 --> 50:46.246
[SPEAKER_00]: It gave you the impression they were close, but it wasn't close enough kind of thing.
50:46.266 --> 50:46.826
[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I'm saying?
50:46.846 --> 50:48.727
[SPEAKER_02]: So are they probably feel under now with their druid?
50:49.548 --> 50:55.030
[SPEAKER_02]: Probably just dealing with needing to make sure that that druid, because they, it was shown to us forever ago.
50:55.410 --> 50:56.290
[SPEAKER_00]: A year ago, yeah.
50:56.730 --> 50:59.191
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, um, even before we were invited to LA.
50:59.351 --> 51:03.293
[SPEAKER_00]: So now we have a situation where, if they don't come out with it,
51:03.993 --> 51:04.654
[SPEAKER_00]: in December.
51:04.714 --> 51:07.756
[SPEAKER_00]: That's a whole year of beta without the druid.
51:08.216 --> 51:12.639
[SPEAKER_00]: But they already have shapeshifting in the game, just like, you know, demon form and that kind of stuff, right?
51:13.240 --> 51:20.825
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's it's an interesting end again, like no pressure from us, but obviously we, but yes, we're not going to zoom the other way.
51:20.845 --> 51:22.006
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we're excited.
51:22.507 --> 51:24.728
[SPEAKER_00]: Give us show us what the intro trees are for the
51:29.852 --> 51:33.875
[SPEAKER_00]: Intro clusters are going to have minion damage or minion nodes, right?
51:34.075 --> 51:44.962
[SPEAKER_00]: The template because by the place right now is like I feel forced to be a witch with with minions and those three ascendancies, I think are trash for minions.
51:45.022 --> 51:50.546
[SPEAKER_00]: Like you can come up with stuffed play with minions, but none of them are exciting for someone who's hoping just for minions.
51:50.586 --> 51:52.287
[SPEAKER_00]: Again, I like how generic.
51:53.073 --> 52:01.155
[SPEAKER_00]: They are like, there's not a million ascendancy, but when I think of playing minions, I'm like, oh, the fire lady, the blood lady, and the lich.
52:01.795 --> 52:02.535
[SPEAKER_00]: They all kinda suck.
52:02.955 --> 52:05.896
[SPEAKER_00]: I like that extra lich, though, to get liches.
52:06.416 --> 52:06.796
[SPEAKER_00]: Sweet.
52:07.296 --> 52:13.158
[SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, like, point four is gonna be huge, but it's not just going to be, hey, here's your new league.
52:13.198 --> 52:20.980
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I'm really curious what other endgame changes and modifications they have that they're saving for, for point four,
52:23.600 --> 52:24.721
[SPEAKER_00]: It's still going to be huge.
52:25.421 --> 52:34.924
[SPEAKER_00]: I think about how big point three was, all the crazy change, they completely changed support gems, and they're willing to do this without like unannouncement.
52:35.504 --> 52:36.324
[SPEAKER_00]: It's crazy.
52:36.384 --> 52:37.904
[SPEAKER_00]: No, not like, not an announcement.
52:37.924 --> 52:43.646
[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, they made an announcement, but like not like press hype and all that and making it a big part of their promo, right?
52:44.306 --> 52:45.787
[SPEAKER_00]: So, I'm excited.
52:45.967 --> 52:48.288
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's really cool, and I'm very excited for the changes too.
52:50.029 --> 52:50.972
[SPEAKER_02]: All right, we good.
52:51.493 --> 52:54.583
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but by the way, Justin, you'll never climb the corporate ladder.
52:55.622 --> 53:00.544
[SPEAKER_02]: It's funny the way he says it too, it's just like this cartoony, just very aggressive.
53:00.884 --> 53:05.326
[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, forever XL 312 and just Naked Eggs, and I'm Tyler Ricker of Days.
53:05.726 --> 53:10.428
[SPEAKER_02]: Pitrons will see you in afterdark, everybody else will see you next week in 313 for great week.
53:10.468 --> 53:18.311
[SPEAKER_02]: We got a website foreverxiled.com, we've a discord pop in there, say hello, and a patreon and other way to put the podcast to find them down below and around.
53:18.651 --> 53:18.931
[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks.
53:19.692 --> 53:20.752
[SPEAKER_00]: Bye, bye, bye.
